Wetting Agents are collectively general purpose detergent based surface tension modifiers that assist the penetration and acceleration of movement of water through the soil profile. AquaBoost™ facilitates lateral water movement & retention in the soil profile. By modifying the soil hydraulics our blends change the physical performance characteristics of most fertilisers keeping them longer where they're needed most – in the root zone.
AquaBoost™ is more than just a water efficiency product. AquaBoost can be incorporated with liquid fertilisers to assist translocation requirements and reduce leaching into eco-sensitive areas. It also effectively reduces evaporation from the soil and is applied in low mix ratios with no dripper or spray nozzle blockage by creating a laminar flow effect.
AquaBoost™ products are available in both a liquid and granular form. For pre-planting applications, granular PAMs are the trial proven scientific way to mininise water losses from rain fed crops.
The AquaBoost™ AG30 Liquid product range delivers considerable savings on irrigation water usage and pumping costs. In addition it delivers an ability to manage water scheduling and plant moisture uptake.
AquaBoost AG30 why use it?
This product is our standard polyacrylamide formulation. It is suitable as an additive for application through any irrigation system. The primary function of the AG30 formulation is to improve water use efficiency. While results will vary given different soil types, the expectation is that efficiency improvements of 30% or better can be achieved. This efficiency can be expressed as either less water required per irrigation event or extending the period between irrigations. Slowing the movement of water through a soil profile has exhibited positive effects in improving crop nutrient uptake in combination with improved water use.
AG30 formulation is compatible with liquid fertilisers. The application of our liquids stimulate microbial activity and as a food source and they assist with the breakdown of the product in the soil.
AquaBoost AG30FB formulation, key reasons for the use of (Fulvic Acid)
Fulvic acid is derived from the breakdown of vegetative material. When applied to the soil it behaves in a similar fashion to Auxins (plant growth hormones) and increases development of the root. In a replicated wheat trial in WA the addition of AquaBoost Fulvic Blend increased total root surface area around 40% over untreated. This leads to improved uptake of water, nutrients and supports greater development of root and tuber set.
The presence of Fulvic acid in the soil supports increased biological activity but specifically the growth of Vesicular Arbuscular Micorrhiza (VAM). VAM have an important function in increasing or extending the ability of the plants root system to uptake Phosphorus and Zinc from the soil solution. VAM also has a role in the transfer of sugars.
AquaBoost AG30NWS (Non Wetting Soils) formulation
Polyacrylamides have a capacity to overcome soil surface tension issues in hydrophobic soils. Where soils are extremely hydrophobic AG30 NWS formulation should be used. This formulation contains a small amount of high quality wetting agent to assist in the breakdown of severe surface tension. Unlike general wetting agents the AG30 NWS formulation will also hold water in the profile to improve water use efficiency.
AquaBoost AGDirect is a water conditioner
AGDirect™ is a trial proven PAM based water conditioner and drift retardant. AGDirect™ is the ideal answer to increasing demand for better performance and environmental acceptability of crop protection products. It modifies the physical delivery characteristics of spray mixture and retains the spray deposit on the target after the water carrier has evaporated. It enhances active chemical uptake due to influence on permeability of surface and sub-surface cell structures and improves tenacity due to substantive sticking properties.

AquaBoost™ AG100SAP, AG60Linear and AG160 Blended Granular products improve germination rates and moisture retention in soils and potting mixes. They can be used as stand-alone additives, seed partners or blended with granular fertilisers. The by-products of all AquaBoost™ formulations break down into environmentally friendly elements which are not harmful to plant, animal or human life.
AG100 is a cross-linked anionic Polyacrylamide granule that ‘harvests’ water events. AG100 absorbs water maintaining it in the root zone, extending the availability of moisture during long periods without rain or irrigation events. As such it enhances fertiliser efficacy and promotes healthier bioactivity to enhance plant health and growth.
AG60 Linear PAM is ideal for mixing with seed to improve germination. The product does not absorb water but dissolves and extends laterally when it comes in contact with water and holds the moisture and nutrients around the seed to promote good germination and reduce mortality rates. AG60 will last about 8-12 weeks in the soil before biodegrading.
AG160 is a special blend of AG100 and AG60 enabling growers access to the strengths of both forms of PAM. Designed to be used with row crops at planting, AG160 provides early moisture support for the germinating seedling from the AG60 complemented by the longer term moisture delivery from the AG100.
